Senior AccountantChester, New YorkPermanent | $90,000–$95,000Hyered is partnering with a leading music publisher to hire a Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team.This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented accountant to play a key role in both day-to-day operations and the month-end/year-end close process within a collaborative, in-office environment.The RoleYou’ll support core accounting functions, ensuring accuracy across financial reporting, reconciliations, and budgeting, while working closely with the wider finance team.Key Responsibilities• Perform bank reconciliations • Prepare depreciation and amortisation entries and maintain schedules • Provide backup support across Accounts Receivable processes • Prepare basic sales tax returns (New York & New Jersey) • Record monthly accruals, prepayments, and additional journal entries • Maintain and update accounting schedules • Support budgeting and budget-to-actual analysis • Assist with year-end audit requests and wider finance team activitiesWhat We’re Looking For• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent) • 3–5 years of accounting experience • Strong understanding of reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (NetSuite preferred) • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills • A collaborative approach and willingness to support a team in an in-office settingSystems• NetSuite (Oracle) • HLMSW (sales system) • Microsoft ExcelWhy Apply?• Join a respected business within the music publishing space • Competitive salary and benefits package • Strong team culture with hands-on exposure across finance • Opportunity for growth and developmentIf you’re a driven accountant looking to build your career within the music industry, this is a brilliant next step.📩 Apply directly or reach out to Hyered for a confidential conversation.
