Attending Psychiatrist /Addiction Services

OverviewThe Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens, serving the culturally diverse community of Eastern Queens, seeks a full-time board-certified Addiction Psychiatrist with an interest in medical education and curricular development to provide leadership for the newly launched Residency Training Program. The Attending Psychiatrist will provide direct patient care for the department of Psychiatry, including addiction treatment in the outpatient setting, and will provide consultations and prescribing abilities to patients in the Queens Hospital EDs and Inpatient services.Mount Sinai/Queens offers a collegial environment with a competitive salary, sign-in bonus, and full benefits. ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care in the department of Psychiatry, including addiction treatment in outpatient settings.Provide consultations and prescribing abilities to patients in Queens Hospital EDs and Inpatient services.Contribute to medical education and curricular development as part of the Residency Training Program.Participate in leadership activities to support program development and multidisciplinary collaboration. QualificationsMD degree and board certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry.Current New York State license, Medicaid number, and DEA registration.
