Job description: Marine Accessories Corporation DBA (Diamondback Marine), a division of Patrick Industries, is the parent company of several industry-leading brands in the recreational boating industry – We are looking to hire a plant controller to provide timely and accurate preparation, calculation, and reconciliation of our accounting department This person will be assisting in day-to-day accounting processes including but not limited to Bank reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis, and the closing process. Primary Responsibilities: · Prepare and analyze financial statements in QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Global Shop, and Expandable · Reconcile and prepare journal entries for monthly bank statement activity · Maintain accurate processes and procedures for all reports and tasks · Assist President and corporate team with various assignments and projects · Provide backup and prepare reports for internal audit team · Work closely with warehouse manager to maintain accurate inventory valuation · Assist with implementation of Avalara Sales Tax Software · Aide in Workforce Planning · Upload balance sheet reconciliations to Blackline · Aggregate, analyze and convert data sources on a regular basis for reporting, accounting journal entries, and tax related items Minimum Requirements: · Minimum 1-5 years of accounting/finance experience required · Strong attention to detail and accuracy. · Ability to multi-task and balance priorities to meet deadlines. · Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel. · Must possess strong written and verbal skills to effectively communicate. · Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
