Installation & Field Service TechnicianLocation: Field-Based (Travel Required)Job Type: Full-TimeOverviewWe are seeking a hands-on Installation & Field Service Technician to install, commission, and maintain advanced equipment at customer sites. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, working independently in the field, and delivering a high-quality customer experience.You will manage the full equipment lifecycle—from installation and startup through training and ongoing support—ensuring systems operate reliably and efficiently. When not traveling, you will contribute to improving internal service processes and tools while collaborating with engineering, operations, and project teams.Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & CommissioningPerform on-site installation including mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and plumbing connectionsExecute system startup and commissioning (I/O checks, calibration, functional testing, and safety verification)Interpret and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and layout drawingsValidate system performance and complete customer acceptance documentationService & MaintenanceDiagnose and repair equipment issues across electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systemsPerform preventive maintenance, inspections, and system updatesReplace and test components such as pumps, valves, sensors, motors, and VFDsMaintain accurate service records, parts usage, and work ordersCustomer SupportTrain customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety proceduresCommunicate clearly regarding troubleshooting, root cause, and solutionsMaintain a professional, customer-focused presence on-siteProvide phone and video technical support as neededCollaboration & Process ImprovementPartner with engineering, operations, and sales teams to improve field service processesSupport development of tools, documentation, and best practicesRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED3+ years of experience in field service, industrial maintenance, or equipment installationStrong hands-on experience with:Electrical systems (120/240/480VAC, DC, wiring, panels)Plumbing systems (PVC, CPVC, PEX, stainless steel)Mechanical systems (pumps, motors, gearboxes)Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDsExperience with equipment commissioning and preventive maintenanceProficiency with diagnostic and testing tools (multimeters, gauges, etc.)Strong problem-solving skills and customer communication abilitiesValid driver's license and ability to travel frequentlyAbility to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice (24–48 hours)Must live within driving distance of a major international airportBasic computer skills (MS Office, service systems)Home office with reliable internet accessPreferred QualificationsExperience with water treatment, chemical systems, or industrial process equipmentFamiliarity with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and instrumentationOSHA safety knowledge and LOTO experienceEPA or municipal water experienceExperience with CMMS or CRM systemsBilingual (Spanish/English)Contractor's license (a plus)What We OfferOpportunity to work with advanced industrial systems in a growing fieldIndependent, hands-on role with travel exposureCollaborative environment with cross-functional teamsCareer growth opportunities within technical service and operationsApply TodayIf you are a technically skilled professional who enjoys field work, travel, and solving complex challenges, we encourage you to apply.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Pompano Beach, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.06 - $43.27/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
