: In-House Electrical Estimator
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced In-House Electrical Estimator to join our growing electrical contracting team in Miami, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial and/or industrial electrical estimating, be highly proficient with the McCormick Systems Estimating platform, and be fully bilingual in English and Spanish. This role plays a critical part in project planning, budgeting, and securing new work.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate and detailed electrical cost estimates for commercial and industrial projectsPerform quantity take-offs from construction drawings, specifications, and addendaUtilize McCormick Systems Estimating software to develop competitive bidsAnalyze labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costsReview drawings and specifications to identify scope, risks, and value-engineering opportunitiesCollaborate with project managers, operations, and field supervisors during preconstructionPrepare bid summaries, proposals, and supporting documentationParticipate in bid reviews, scope clarifications, and post-bid negotiationsMaintain a historical cost database and pricing updatesCommunicate effectively with clients, general contractors, suppliers, and internal teams in both English and Spanish Required Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of electrical estimating experience (commercial and/or industrial) Fluent user of McCormick Systems Estimating software (required)Bilingual: Fluent in both English and Spanish (verbal and written)Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and construction methodsAbility to read and interpret construction documents and specificationsStrong analytical, organizational, and mathematical skillsProficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookAbility to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneouslyPreferred QualificationsExperience estimating projects in South Florida or similar marketsKnowledge of local codes, permitting processes, and AHJ requirementsBackground working for an electrical contractor (vs. GC-only estimating)Experience with negotiated work and design-build projectsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay based on experienceHealth insurance optionsPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth and advancement opportunitiesStable, in-house estimating role (no travel required)Equal Opportunity EmployerWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
