As the Operations Manager at TEMO USA, the US subsidiary of TEMO France—a French pioneer in award-winning electric boat motors—you will oversee all operational functions to fuel our continued expansion in North America. TEMO delivers clean, quiet, portable propulsion with the ultra-light TEMO·450, the versatile TEMO·1000, and emerging pod drive innovations in the SeaSIDE range. Our products prioritize simplicity, dependability, and portability for dinghies, tenders, sailboats, and other small craft.Location: Portland, Maine (TEMO USA headquarters)Reports to: TEMO USA leadership (with direct management from TEMO France) Employment Type: Independent contractor, full-timeKey ResponsibilitiesAct as key liaison between TEMO France and TEMO USA in all day-to-day operations, including sales, customer service, boat show logistics, warranty and repairs, and all cross-border coordination.Order Fulfillment & LogisticsCoordinate with warehousing partners and the TEMO France logistics team to facilitate a smooth order and delivery experience with our dealer partners and end customers.Coordinate reverse logistics for warranty claims, repairs, and returns, maintaining high service standards.Customer & After-Sales OperationsAnswer the TEMO USA sales/service phone line and assist customers with their ownership experiencePerform basic service and repair on TEMO motors as neededDirect customer support operations in the USA: handle inquiries, troubleshooting, customer service calls, warranty issues, and parts distribution with assistance from the TEMO France team.Sales and Customer ConsultationConsult with potential customers and help them choose the TEMO motor that will fit their vessel and use caseHelp identify new opportunities for sales growth together with the TEMO France team.Dealer & Partner SupportEnable smooth operations for our growing North American dealer network by providing inventory visibility, processing tiered dealer pricing/margins, and resolving fulfillment challenges.Manage demo stock allocation and coordinate logistics for regional events and boat shows.Qualifications & ExperienceStrong sales and customer service experience requiredStrong tech and remote work skills (CRM, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace etc.)Disciplined self-starter work mentalityFamiliarity with the US recreational marine market (dealers, shows, small craft trends) and enthusiasm for electrification and sustainabilityPassion for sailing, boating, and on-water activities; comfortable supporting product demos and attending marine industry shows and eventsExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, collaborative settingWillingness to travel (up to 25%: boat shows, dealer visits, trips to TEMO HQ in France)Willingness to begin employment as an independent contractor before eventually becoming a full-time salaried employee of TEMO USABachelor’s degree preferredWhat We OfferCompetitive compensationHealth Insurance reimbursementTravel and daily expense reimbursementOpportunity to help shape the North American subsidiary for an innovative, fast-growing boating brand with awards and thousands of satisfied owners world-wide.Be part of TEMO's momentum as electric propulsion gains traction in North America and join the electric boating revolution!To apply, email your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience to nicholas@temofrance.com with subject: "Operations Manager – TEMO USA Application".Discover more at www.temo-usa.com.
