PMO Director - Dean's Office

DescriptionThe Director of the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) reports directly to the DGSOM Executive Director Academic Department Administration who reports to the CFO/Sr.Dean of Finance and Administration. Under the leadership of the Executive Director, The PMO Director is responsible for establishing, leading, and optimizing a small PMO that supports strategic project execution across the organization. This role ensures projects are aligned with business priorities, delivered on time and within budget, and follow standardized project management practices.The PMO Director will oversee project governance, portfolio visibility, resource coordination, and continuous improvement of project management capabilities across the organization. This position has four direct reports.Annual Salary Range: $116,300.00 - 264,600.00QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or related field8 - 12 years of experience in project management or program management3 - 5 years of experience leading or managing a PMO or project portfolioStrategic planning and portfolio management experienceProject governance and methodology development experienceLeadership and team development experienceRisk management and problem solving experienceExecutive communication and stakeholder management experienceBudget and resource management experienceChange management experienceData-driven decision-making experienceAbility to work in a collaborative cross-functional environmentAbility to interact with senior leadership and business unitsAbility to have oversight of multiple simultaneous projectsPreferred:Master's degree or MBAPMP (Project Management Professional), PgMP or PMI-ACP, or Agile/Scrum certifications
