Our team lives by the core values of integrity, respect, and grace.What You'll DoAs a School Bus Driver, you'll safely transport students while providing high-quality, consistent communication with dispatch and school partners. You'll lead by example, promote a positive culture, and help ensure each ride reflects Lake Country's values of integrity, respect, and grace.ResponsibilitiesSafely drive a bus along a designated route to pick up and drop off students at scheduled stopsFollow all LCT policies, procedures, and safety standards, including the Pre-Trip Inspection and Smith System conceptsArrive at Base on time and prepared for routes (typically: 5:007:00 a.m. and 1:003:00 p.m.)Maintain logs and reports, which may include mileage, fuel consumption, and student countsCommunicate effectively with parents, scholars, teachers, and colleaguesDemonstrate leadership, enthusiasm, and professionalism on and off the roadKeep the interior and exterior of the bus clean and presentableMotivate and support fellow team membersProtect confidentiality and be respectfulAttend all safety meetingsSolve problems using integrity, respect, and graceWho You AreA stay-at-home parent looking for extra incomeA retired individual who wants to engage with your community while making extra incomeA positive, dependable, and community-minded professionalEnthusiastic about serving othersFlexible, organized, and comfortable with technologySkilled at communicating with a variety of people and handling situations with integrity, respect, and graceEducation & QualificationsValid CDL or CLP with school bus and passenger endorsementsWill provide paid behind the wheel training to qualified candidates with current CLPPass Background Check, Clearinghouse, and have compliant MVR (motor vehicle record)High School Diploma or GEDPrevious experience driving a school bus preferred but not requiredCompensation$27.50 - $31.50 per hour, depending on years of experiencePerks & BenefitsA company culture built on integrity, respect, and graceCompetitive pay (same rate for route driving, charters, and safety/training meetings)Guaranteed minimum hours (5.5 hours/day for bus routes, depending on the school district, and while the school is in session)401K company matchingWeekly payTraining and ongoing development opportunitiesEmployee Safe & Sick Time (ESST)Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML)We're Better Together.At Lake Country Transportation, our drivers are the heartbeat of what we do.
