Engine Overhaul Expert | Product Line Manager
The Product Line Manager is responsible for providing engine product expertise to facilitate the repair and overhaul process of a specific engine series, type, and product lines. This includes but is not limited to CFM56, CF6, CF34, GE90, Trent 700/800, V2500, PW2000, and PW4000. This individual should be considered a Subject Matter Expert in their respected field for a specific engine series or type.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee one or several small teams performing the disassembly, inspection, balancing, assembly, troubleshooting, and testing of engines.
Ensure efficient workflow and productivity while providing a level of professionalism, leadership, and communication up and down the organizational structure.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of engine product lines.
Execute specific engine type technical repair/overhaul requirements and processes as defined by OEMs.
Develop and implement Engine Repair Work scopes.
Provide parts requirements based on designated work scopes in a timely and accurate manner.
Monitor and maintain engine/module repair processing turn times effectively.
Possess a detailed knowledge of engine manuals, airworthiness directives, and service bulletins.
Maintain engine repair work binders in an organized and accurate manner.
Possess strong verbal, written, organizational, and prioritization skills.
Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Train and evaluate personnel performing the repair process for engines/modules.
Document, plan, and execute engine repair programs.
Analyze and resolve complex problems related to engines/modules.
Develop specialized knowledge of engine types by staying on top of the latest technical developments.
Must score a minimum of 18 on the PATES technical evaluation matrix (documented training records)
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School degree or equivalent
A minimum of 6 years of specific engine type(s) experience (Technical, Operational, Functional) in the capacity of an Engine MRO.
This individual should be considered a Subject Matter Expert in their respective field for a specific engine series or type.
CERTIFICATES & LICENSES
FAA Powerplant.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job like sitting, standing, climbing on engines, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including FAA, OSHA, DOT, and State/Federal regulations.
Must be able to wear eye and respiratory protection as needed.
Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required.
