We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant Instructor to join our team and help shape the future of nursing assistants. Job Description: Under the direct supervision of the Administrator, the Nursing Assistant Instructor will provide instruction for Nursing Assistant courses and maintain all necessary course documentation and communication. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and have a strong background in nursing, with the ability to engage students through active learning methods. Key Responsibilities: 1. Deliver on-site instruction in entry-level caregiving skills for Nursing Assistants. 2. Plan, prepare, and implement interactive learning activities that meet established course competencies. 3. Utilize reliable assessment tools to measure student achievement of course objectives. 4. Provide students with a written overview of course competencies, grading procedures, attendance policies, and other essential information at the beginning of the course. 5. Utilize active learning methods that accommodate various learning styles to enhance student engagement. 6. Offer guidance and support to students regarding their course progress and academic concerns. 7. Regularly review and update instructional materials, learning activities, and assessment techniques to improve course delivery. 8. Collaborate with the administrator and fellow staff members to integrate instructional activities effectively. Minimum Qualifications: · Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency in delivering instruction using active learning methods. Ability to plan and implement effective learning activities that align with course competencies. Strong oral and written communication skills. Experience working with diverse populations and the ability to provide appropriate guidance to students. Familiarity with computer concepts and technology in education. Additional Requirements: Must meet State requirements for nursing assistant instructors. Hold a current, active RN license in good standing and have at least one year of full-time experience as an RN providing direct patient care. Preferred: Two years of teaching experience, including Nursing Assistant courses. Recent (within the past 5 years) experience in home health care or healthcare settings utilizing nursing assistants. Meet the requirements of the DHS and DES. Successful completion of a background check. Appointment is contingent upon DHS approval as a CNA instructor. Hours: This is a part-time position. Looking for days, evenings, and weekends.
