Trinity Industries Services Operations Team is seeking an Account Manager for our Dallas, TX Headquarters. The Successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all wreck railcar repair activities, managing costs, forecasting expenditures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and serving as the primary liaison between various Trinity departments and our esteemed clientele.Join our team today and be a part of Delivering Goods for the Good of All!What you'll do:Accountable for managing an annual expenditure of approximately $20 million across the railroad wrecks, repairs, and billingProvide comprehensive and continuous training to our owned shops on how to effectively create JIC's (Wrecks), estimates, and related activity for wreck billing and processingMaintain ownership of all wreck repairs at both internal and external railcar repair shopsTravel to and build working relationships with Class 1 railroadsIdentify potential risks in repair processes and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth operationsAlways looking for ways to enhance your skills and the performance of the repair shops you are assigned toPartner with internal and external stakeholders to achieve best in class results; to include but not limited to 25% travel to shops and railroad locationsQualificationsWhat you'll need:Bachelor's degree or combination of education/relevant work experience5+ years of experience in reviewing JIC's, estimates, and invoices on railroad freight carsKnowledge of AAR/FRA rules and regulations to a moderate level. First three to six months will be training to bring you to expert level of knowledgeStrong technical background with wrecks (Rule 107's)Experience in managing projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring, to ensure timely completion within budgetAbility to influence others to accomplish mutual benefitsAbility to build relationships with challenging partners both internal and externalAbility to train and retrain internal stakeholder and Trinity owned shops on proper processes
