A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - Med Surg/n/nJob Details:/n• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM/n• Weekend requirement: every other weekend (3 weekends out of a 6-week schedule)/n• Work into holiday rotation schedule/n• 52-bed unit with all private rooms/n• Patient ratios of 1:6-7 (mostly 1:7 for both day and night shifts)/n• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS; ACLS is a plus/n• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs (top and bottom) with navy scrub jackets, no hoodies allowed/n• Use Allscripts charting system and Sunrise EMR/n• Float to other Med Surg units, Med Surg/Oncology units, and possibly IMC for Med Surg overflow/n• General hospital orientation followed by 2 full shifts on the unit/n• Handle drips including Heparin, PCAs with MSO4, occasional Ativan, but no cardiac drips or insulin/n• Work with BiPAP (intermittent only), CPAP, and high flow equipment/n• Remote telemetry monitoring as needed/n• IV team starts all IVs - RNs assess IV sites but do not start their own/n• Care for ortho post-ops, basic neuro post-ops, general post-ops, and medical patients including COPD, pneumonia, and cellulitis/n• Experience with peritoneal dialysis highly preferred as hemodialysis patients are on this floor/n• Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license with submission/n• BSN not required/n• 2 shifts cancellation policy per 13-week contract/n/nFacility:/nThis healthcare facility operates a comprehensive 52-bed medical surgical unit featuring all private rooms and maintains 24/7 in-house support including hospitalist coverage, intensivist services, IV and PICC teams, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy services with Pyxis system.
