Position Summary & Objective
The Operator III runs a variety of production machinery, including Camera Slitter and Embossing equipment, to produce high-quality materials for internal and external customers.
Essential Functions and Scopes of Work
Sets up, operates, and maintains production equipment, handling materials properly and minimizing waste while adhering to safety procedures.
Maintains the production schedule, communicates changes, and works from blueprints and job specifications to ensure jobs are produced in the required sequence.
Examines products for defects, verifies material accuracy, and ensures all work meets quality standards before proceeding to the next process or final customer.
Follows SOPs, quality standards, and security protocols, including handling security products and waste properly.
Participates in ongoing training to maintain and improve skills and assume additional tasks as assigned.
Camera Slitter (Propheteer I and II, Line Scan, Diazo/Micro Thread)
Operates Propheteer machines using the Lake Vision System to validate serialized labeled material, ensuring cleanly slit, tight reels.
Performs preventive maintenance on the slitter and camera system, and pack lanes of labels according to job instructions.

Position Qualifications
Education:
· High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
· 2-4 years of experience working with mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing machines.
· Knowledge of vacuum systems and thin film coating (preferred, not required).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Excellent mechanical ability and attention to detail.
· Ability to read and use a ruler for precise measurements.
· Knowledge of ISO procedures and practices.
· Ability to follow safety procedures and basic IT skills for accessing machine and job specifications.
· Capable of producing high-quality work under tight deadlines.
Environment Job Requirements and Working Conditions
· Manufacturing production environment, which may be loud at times.
Physical Characteristics and Demands
· Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and inspect small defects on products.
· Ability to observe/inspect moving products under flashing lights (strobe lights).
