The Sales Manager is responsible for managing and expanding customer relationships, generating new business, and driving revenue growth across an assigned territory. You will represent DCI’s product portfolio which includes silos, mix tanks, processors, pasteurizers, fermentation vessels, CIP and process skids. Position Responsibilities:Sales & Territory DevelopmentManage west coast regional territory to meet or exceed sales targets for capital equipment and systems.Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in food, dairy, and beverage processing markets.Build and maintain relationships with plant engineers, project managers, purchasing, and executive decision-makers.Customer & Project ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, proposals, and contract negotiations.Lead the RFQ and quoting process in coordination with applications engineering, estimating, and project management teams.Conduct plant visits, equipment audits, and application reviews to propose the right DCI solutions.Technical Sales & SupportEffectively communicate technical features, process capabilities, and system integration advantages of DCI products.Collaborate with internal engineering and fabrication teams to ensure project alignment and customer satisfaction.Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and customer events to promote DCI’s capabilities and market presence.Forecasting & ReportingMaintain accurate pipeline, forecast, and territory data using CRM tools (e.g., Sales Force or similar).Provide competitive intelligence and customer feedback to influence product development and market strategy.Position Requirements: B.S. in Engineering, Food Science, Business, or a related technical discipline preferred.A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the food, dairy, or beverage industry—preferably selling process equipment, tanks, or capital systems.Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and managing a multi-state territory.Experience working with end users, OEMs, and/or engineering firms in sanitary process environments.Candidate should live in IL, OH, or MI Up to 50–70% travel, including customer site visits, trade shows, and DCI headquarters in Saint Cloud, MN for meetings.DCI, Inc. is committed to a culture that promotes long-term career satisfaction and provides an opportunity for personal and professional growth.
