Gas Turbine Control Field Service & Operations Support EngineerSummary:Experienced Gas Turbine Control Engineer providing field service, commissioning, and operational support across a broad range of turbine platforms, including Siemens SGT series (SGT-400/600), GE Frame turbines (Frame 5, Frame 6, Frame 7EA), GE aeroderivative turbines (LM2500, LM6000), and Solar Turbines (Taurus, Mars, Centaur). Proven ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize turbine control systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation across power generation and industrial sites.Key Responsibilities:Control System Support: Perform installation, commissioning, and testing of gas turbine control systems across multiple OEM platforms, including heavy-duty and aeroderivative units. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and communication faults within PLC, DCS, and turbine-specific control systems (e.g., Mark VIe, Woodward, Siemens controls). Support system upgrades, migrations, and enhancements.Operational Support: Provide real-time technical assistance to site operations teams, ensuring optimal performance and availability of turbines including GE LM series, Siemens SGT units, and Solar packages. Monitor and analyze control data to identify trends, faults, and optimization opportunities.Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Lead advanced fault-finding on turbine control systems, including instrumentation, I/O, control panels, and network communications. Support both preventative and corrective maintenance strategies across frame and aeroderivative turbine fleets.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of field activities, including diagnostics, repairs, and system modifications. Produce technical reports outlining performance, root cause analysis, and recommended corrective actions.Training & Knowledge Transfer: Deliver training and technical guidance to client personnel on turbine control system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Contribute to SOPs and technical documentation.Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational standards. Participate in risk assessments, safety audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience supporting gas turbine control systems across multiple OEMs, including Siemens, GE (Frame & LM series), and Solar Turbines.Strong understanding of turbine control architectures, PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), and SCADA/DCS platforms.Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting complex control system issues (hardware, software, communications).Strong client-facing and field service communication skills.Preferred Skills:Experience with GE Mark VIe, Woodward, and Siemens turbine control systems.Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC).OEM certifications or formal training on GE LM series, Siemens SGT, or Solar turbine platforms.
