We support food and dairy manufacturers by keeping their critical production equipment running safely and efficiently.We are a service‐first company that invests in our people, values teamwork, and does the job the right way.Job SummaryWe are seeking a Field Service Technician to support industrial centrifuge equipment at customer facilities, primarily in the dairy and food processing industries. This is a hands‐on, mechanical, customer‐facing role with extensive travel and strong growth opportunities.No centrifuge experience required.Technicians with strong mechanical aptitude and transferable field or industrial skills are encouraged to apply.Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on industrial centrifugesTroubleshoot mechanical and process‐related issuesProvide onsite technical support and customer trainingEnsure all work is completed safely and according to customer and company standardsCommunicate job status, parts needs, and recommendations to customersComplete accurate service reports and documentationFollow up with customers after service to confirm proper operationParticipate in rotating after‐hours and weekend service supportTravel to customer sites across the MidwestIdeal Backgrounds (Transferable Skills Welcome)This role may be a great fit if you have experience in: Industrial or plant maintenanceField service (any industry)Mechanical repair, rotating equipment, pumps, motors, or conveyorsHVAC, manufacturing, or food & beverage environmentsTechnical trades or military experienceRequirements & QualificationsRequired High school diploma or GEDStrong mechanical aptitude and hand‐tool experienceAbility to troubleshoot and solve problems independentlyStrong customer service and communication skillsBasic computer skills (reports, email, documentation)Ability to travel up to ~75%Availability for scheduled weekend and after‐hours rotationPreferred Trade school or technical trainingExperience in industrial or manufacturing environmentsPhysical Requirements Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs routinelyAbility to stand, walk, kneel, crawl, and work in confined or industrial spacesAbility to work extended shifts when requiredAbility to travel, drive, and safely perform physical job duties at customer sitesAbility to wear required PPE (safety glasses, steel‐toe boots, etc.)Schedule & Travel Expectations Typically onsite 1–5 days at a timeOccasionally onsite up to 8 days for limited projectsRegularly scheduled 1–2 weekends per monthRarely 3 weekends/month (discussed in advance)Employees may decline a 4th weekend if ever requestedCompensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay with overtime and travel timeHealth insurance with HSA optionDental and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchPaid vacation, sick time, and holidaysLife and disability insuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Wellness programWhy Work at Separators?
