The position does require some travel between Dallas/Desoto/Bedford/Grapevine/Irving on a needed basis only, but home location would be Irving/Grapevine.Job Summary:Provides professional care for patients following established standards, practices and office policies. Checks patients in, verifies insurance, files, and answers phones. Works under the direct supervision of the physician and/or office supervisor.Job duties include but are not limited to:Answering multi-line telephones and directing calls to appropriate staffChecking e-fax and forwarding to corresponding departmentInsurance verification/Obtain authorizations for office visitsScheduling/rescheduling appointments for established patients and hospital follow-upsCompleting patient consent forms-sending & reviewingCommunicate with patients via patient portal/email.Check patient's in/outCollect co-payments and account balancesConfirm patient appointmentsMaintain the waiting lobby clean.Applicant Qualifications:Minimum of 2 year of experience in a medical office setting. Self motivated with a positive attitude willing to learn new procedures, open to constant changes, dependableBe able to multi-task and able to work independently.
