Preschool Teacher 8:30am-5pm
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones, and promoting a love for learning. This full-time position operates from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, providing an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on children's early educational experiences.
Duties
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical development.
Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
Manage classroom activities, including lesson planning, behavior management, and classroom organization.
Support children with special needs through individualized instruction and early intervention strategies.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication and collaboration.
Conduct assessments of children's progress using standardized testing methods when appropriate.
Incorporate Montessori or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences as applicable.
Engage children in physical education activities to promote health and motor skills development.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development.
Experience
Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is highly preferred.
Knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy and math education programs.
Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and child welfare standards.
Classroom experience in private schools or Montessori environments is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage with families.
Experience working with diverse student populations, including toddlers and children with special needs, is a plus.
