Made Possible.JOB SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for handling all raw materials, works in progress, and finished goods within the plant and product in and out.JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following:Operates propane or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forks and clamps to lift, stack, or move product, equipment, or materials between loading, processing, and storage areas in a warehouse or factory.Moves levers, turns steering wheel, and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatusStages load for transport by stacking, arranging, and securing loadsPositions forks and other lifting devices under or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, rolls, products, or materials and transports load to designated areaUnloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting deviceMay supply production with materials as neededUnloads and loads tractor trailers when requiredMay manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devicesMay inventory materialsMay weigh materials or product and record weight and other production data on tags, labels, or shipping paperworkExamines contents and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices, bill of lading, or orders to verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipmentMay enter, transcribe, record, or maintain information in either written form or electronicallyPerforms routine inspections on vehicles and auxiliary equipmentOther duties as assigned.BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:Manufacturing experience preferred, along with 2-4 years' experience in a similar roleMust have prior experience operating a forklift and clamp truckTo perform this job successfully, an individual must have excellent attendance, be able to work independently and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.SKILLS:* LANGUAGE SKILLS* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.* MATHEMATICAL SKILLS* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.* REASONING ABILITY* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
