DescriptionManhattan Strategy Group (MSG) in Bethesda, MD is seeking a full-time Sr. AWS DevSecOps Engineer to support Federal contracts.This position is remote in the United States.Job Responsibilities/DutiesResponsible for AWS platform architecture.Organizations, Account Design, VPC (Virtual Private Cloud), Subnet, and segmentation strategies.AWS Security Prevent, Detect, Respond and Remediate thought counts starting with IAM.Secure AWS Accounts with IAM, Security Hub, Inspector, Open Search, WAF, GuardDuty etc.Integrate the security layer by proactively looking for threats and vulnerabilities at each step. Implement continuous monitoring, monitor, assess, and address findings on a continuous basis.Implement Vulnerability Management tools such as AWS Inspector and Tenable.io. Monitor, assess, and address findings on a continuous basis.Implement and maintain Patch Management procedures.Assess and remediate Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) identified by Federal clients.Harden Windows and Linux operating systems and other web- and database-related applications to meet Federal NIST standards.Implement DISA STIG assessment process and remediation findings.lead team and interface with Client Stakeholders Qualifications (Required)A four-year degree in Computer Science, Business Information Technology, or a related degree demonstrating technical aptitude. 8 + years of experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud technologies and hybrid cloud services. 4 + years experience supporting a US federal agency IT project. Experience at DOL and Dept. of ED preferred.4 + Years of experience in various Linux flavors, application monitoring Understanding and knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats, application security, current best practices, and related software.4 + years of experience with hands-on scripting skills, i.e., Java, Perl, bash, PowerShell, Python.Proficiency with AWS Services like EKS Cluster, S3, Load Balancer, ECR, ECS, EC2, RDS, SSM, Kubernetes, Kubectl, Docker, Docker Compose, SMTP, Route 53, CloudTrails, VPC, VPC Flow logs, CloudFormation and Stacks, AWS CLI will be desirable4 + years of experience working in AWS GovCloud and AWS Commercial Cloud.Ability to understand the application requirements (Performance, Security, Scalability, etc.). Understanding of open-source server software (such as NGINX, PHP, Redis, Elasticsearch)Ability to work independently and manage multiple AWS accounts simultaneously.Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skillsUS Citizenship Required.
