GENERAL MANAGERJob Type: Full-timeJob Classification: ExemptReports To: Director, OperationsDirect Reports: Team Members, Bakers, Line and Prep CooksLocation: EateriesPosition Summary:The General Manager at Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit grab-and-go eateries is responsible for supporting and training staff to operate a smooth daily service. Other duties include, food ordering, inventory, equipment maintenance, and fulfilling catering orders. You will work in collaboration with Callie’s management and Production on daily bakery tasks as well as executing efforts to expand and strengthen clientele and business. This is a salaried full-time position.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:LeadershipAssume full responsibility for shop organization, service operations, presentations, product quality, customer satisfaction, and food safety and health regulationsCreate staff schedules, manage hours that includes end of day close out to ensure everyone is properly clocked in/out and tips are allocated. Work with staff to ensure proper training and job knowledgeOversee all staff duties and manager stations during service hoursHire and train new employees. Ensure store is sufficiently staffed.Elevate performance with generally accepted leadership tenetsEnsure staff routinely follows all proceduresMaintain acceptable ticket timesDeliver outstanding customer service; resolve any issues immediatelyOperationsMaintain strong relationships with vendors and purveyorsTrack daily inventory; prepare and place food orders to maintain adequate inventory levels. Drive to food store if needed or have Shift Leader pick up product. Add and delete point of sale menu items as neededReceive food deliveries, inspect for accuracy and qualityMaintain adequate inventory of handmade productsLabel and date delivery items and rotate into inventoryPrepare recipes for daily specialsMaintain biscuit levels throughout serviceMaintain daily record of cash flowHandle cash-outs at the end of a shiftPrepare cash drawer for next shiftCount and balance safe; prepare and make depositsEnsures all equipment is in proper working order and available for use. Troubleshoot when needed and reaches out to vendors/third parties if not able to properly fix.Drafts and implements preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment. CateringReceive orders from catering division to execute. OtherOther duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesHigh School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferredMinimum of 3 years experience in food service such as bakery/café/retail/restaurant environment.Minimum of 2 years experience managing people. Proven leadership abilities are a must.Valid Driver’s License RequiredMust have attention to detail.Creative approach to problem solvingAbility to communicate effectivelyFamiliarity with iPad-based POS system; experience with Spot On is a plus but not requiredMicrosoft Office and Google products experienceMust have friendly and warm demeanor and be able to maintain a positive attitudeAbility to promote a culture of gratitude
