QUALIFICATIONS: Education - Minimum of an Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy License - Current Texas Physical Therapy Assistant License in good standing Experience - Preferred - Minimum of one (1) year’s experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant PRIMARY JOB DUTIES: Perform physical therapy as planned, delegated and supervised by the Licensed Physical Therapist Prepare clinical and progress notes that thoroughly document treatment interventions Observe, record and report to the therapist, the patient’s reaction to treatment and changes in the patient’s condition Advise, teach and consult with the patient/family as applicable Train caregivers on carryover exercises that can be safely performed by a non-licensed person Participate in discharge planning in consultation with the licensed therapist
