Inventory Coordinator
Overview of Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining supplier and vendor relationships. Act as a cross-functional interface with Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Operations areas.
Roles and Responsibilities:
ERP Inventory Management: Quantity control of inventory goods. Add inventory units through ERP (Sage) system / handle receiving. Deduct units based on Bill of Materials/ Material Requests. Review Work Order, Bill of Materials and Purchase Requests, to determine units in inventory and units to be purchased. Raise/Adjust Purchase requests and send for processing. Prepare Kits by Work Orders with available inventory items.
Cycle Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts (daily/weekly/monthly?) and physical inventories (quarterly, annually). Reconcile physical unit counts with ERP (Sage) counts (daily/weekly/monthly?). Ensure all inventory items (within and outside Purchasing area) are properly labeled and accounted for.
Min / Max Management: Determine units subject to Min/Max counts. Establish minimum and maximum quantities for ID type units. Define thresholds per ID Type unit based on vendor delivery timelines to trigger Purchase Requests. Raise Purchase Request for GAP items. Report on levels of inventory items.
Receiving: Monitor POs for shipping arrangements/ delivery time. Quality inspections of goods at receiving (keep count of damaged items). Label Items at receiving. Determine proper storage methods and location for received goods. Receive goods in ERP (Sage).
Disposals: Determine units subject to be disposed. Coordinate with Accounting disposal procedures in ERP (sage). Coordinate with Purchasing possible sale of disposals. Label items disposed of and identify proper location while in transition.
Ensure all inventory units are cleaned, maintained, and stored following internal policies and procedures, as well as regulation standards (i.e., ISO 9000).
Any other assignments as described by Management.
Education and Professional Background:
High school diploma.
3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing, procurements, or related field.
Training and/or experience in the principles and practices of lean manufacturing.
Ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently.
