Job Description SummaryAdmission specialist adds all new clients into the Avatar system and will also update current client demographic and/or payer information as needed. They run reports for upcoming appointments to verify financial eligibility and demographic data updates. Admission Specialist demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. Admission Specialist provides services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment.ResponsibilitiesUsing Ozark Center procedures and tools, accurately adds or updates client information, assuring that all fields in the admission screens are populated when completing financial updates/intakes.Explain Financial Consent to ClientsWork assigned financial and demographic reports.Ensure documents are scanned into the electronic medical record (Avatar).The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
