This role offers a highly visible opportunity to drive proactive safety programs, oversee mission-critical electrical installations and commissioning activities, and be a key contributor to both project and workforce success in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.Responsibilities:Collaborate with both project and corporate safety leadership to align site-specific safety initiatives with company-wide standards.Lead all on-site safety activities, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and internal safety guidelines throughout all project phases.Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans for BMS installation and commissioning.Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments, identifying and mitigating risks associated with electrical construction.Deliver safety training and toolbox talks for internal teams and subcontractors, ensuring compliance and promoting safe work practices.Investigate incidents and near-misses, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Prepare detailed safety reports and communicate findings and recommendations to project and corporate stakeholders.Oversee emergency response planning, ensuring protocols are in place for electrical accidents, fires, and related on-site hazards.Must-Have Skills:Bachelor’s degree in safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.Minimum 5 years of safety management experience in construction, electrical installations, or commissioning environments.Advanced Safety Certification (STSC, CHST, GSP, ASP, or CSP) – required.Extensive knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, and other relevant industry safety standards.Experience leading incident investigations and developing action plans to resolve safety issues.Ability to mentor, train, and gain buy-in from diverse project teams, including subcontractors.Proficient in Microsoft Office and documentation of compliance records.Nice-to-Have Skills:Bilingual communication skills.Certifications such as OSHA 30, OSHA 510, NFPA 70E, First Aid/CPR/AED, or MEWPS certified instructor.Familiarity with Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) programs.Experience supporting mission-critical projects or datacenter construction.Relocation flexibility and ability to travel up to 50% as needed. Travel expenses covered by company.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to drive cultural change in safety practices.
