Computer Numerical Control Programmer
Role: Computer Numerical Control ProgrammerLocation: North Hollywood, CA 91601 Duration: 06+ Months (Possible extension)Pay rate - $50-$52/hr on W2.Join a mission-driven team building safe, reusable, and low-cost space systems. This role supports machining, fabrication, and prototype/production hardware within a high-precision aerospace environment.Key Responsibilities (Short)Set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills/lathes, plus manual machines.Load materials, select tooling/fixtures, and perform CNC programming as needed.Operate waterjet and cutting equipment for rough cutting and profiling.Perform part cleaning, deburring, fitting, minor rework, and basic assembly.Inspect machined parts using standard metrology tools and verify dimensions.Support prototype, test, and production machining with minimal supervision.Maintain 5S, shop organization, equipment upkeep, and safe work practices (LOTO, PPE).Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and basic GD&T.Collaborate with engineers and production teams to meet quality, cost, and schedule goals.Assist in documenting and standardizing machining processes.Preferred ExperienceHands-on CNC programming (conversational or CAM).Advanced setup skills, fixture design, tool selection.Experience with waterjet machines and machining exotic materials or delicate parts.
