This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for skilled professionals looking to build long-term careers in a high-demand industry.Join VC International and work alongside experienced telecom professionals delivering high-quality fiber solutions across the United States.Position OverviewFiber Optic Splicer Technicians are responsible for all aspects of fiber splicing and testing, including cable preparation, fusion splicing, termination, troubleshooting, and documentation. This role requires travel to project sites, working at heights and on ladders, and the ability to work in various outdoor and industrial environments.This role requires regular rotational travel to project sites. Company‑paid lodging and daily per diem are provided while traveling.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDrive a company vehicle dispatched to various sites as requiredSplice aerial and underground fiber optic cables in outside plant (OSP) environmentsPerform single-fiber and mass fusion splicingTest, troubleshoot, and certify fiber optic networks using industry-standard toolsAccurately document splice records, test results, and completed workMaintain project-related and safety documentationWork off ladders;Read work plans/design drawings/blueprints / mapsFollow company safety policies and site-specific requirements Knowledge and SkillsAbility to work at heights, use ladders, work in confined spaces, and in all weather conditionsStrong manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordinationPhysically capable of lifting, carrying, and handling heavy equipment, including laddersAbility to climb ladders and work on poles or aerial platformsComfortable working in remote locations or isolated environments Strong organizational skills and attention to detailSelf-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a crewAbility to work in a fast‑paced environment with repetitive tasks and project deadlinesMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient with Internet, Outlook, and able to learn mobile applicationsSafety-focused with adherence to safety procedures and requirementsAdditional RequirementsValid U.S. driver’s license with acceptable driving recordCDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred; willingness to obtain CDL or air brake endorsement is an assetWillingness to travel extensively and work a minimum of 40 hours per weekAvailability for rotational scheduling, overtime, or emergency callouts as requiredAbility to pass a background check and any site‑specific screening requirementsAuthorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorshipExperience Required1+ years of fiber optic splicing experience (feeder and distribution)Experience with outside plant (OSP) fiber networksProficient with fiber testing equipment, including:OTDRPower MeterLive Fiber IdentifiersExperience working off ladders or aerial equipment requiredExperience with FTTx / FTTH projects preferredCompensation And BenefitsCompensation is commensurate with experienceHourly Pay – (40 to 50 hrs per week)Weekly pay cyclePaid training Daily paid per diem for out-of-town rotationsCompany-paid and arranged travel and accommodationsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Group life insurance401(k) with Company MatchingApply Now
