WAREHOUSE LEAD - 1st Shift - $18.80/hr
DEPARTMENT: Warehouse
REPORTS TO: Department Manager
FLSA: Hourly- Non-Exempt
Job Summary: Monitor activities and workforce in the department. Oversee training of associates on shift. Maintain daily and weekly production reports. Report quality problems to the supervisor and be responsible for quality control decisions on shift. Advise management when attendance, quality, productivity, and other work ethic issues require disciplinary action.
Tools and Equipment used: Computer and general office supplies, equipment in department, tow motors, etc.
Essential Functions: Perform the following duties in accordance with ISO 9001 work instructions and standards:
Monitor attendance of associates in absence of supervisor
Meet deadlines and production quotas.
Monitor operator work schedules and break schedules on shift.
Notify operators of production needs and job assignments on shift.
Monitor production and counsel operators with production deficiencies.
Assist attendants in their job or in running equipment when needed.
Scan and adjust box or bin rows, combine yarns to create bins. Unload and load yarn onto the truck.
Open share file, pull yarn required for main location in bins.
File trucking log sheet and make any transactions needed to ensure inventory is correct.
Perform other duties as needed to complete work assignments or as directed by management. Fill in for absent associates as necessary.
Maintain personal attendance practices to meet established company goals.
Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job.
Safety:
Report all job related injuries to the supervisor immediately.
Report any safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Actively participate in safety programs, which identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.
Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by the company.
As required in the department such as hearing protection in high noise areas, seat belt for tow motor, safety belt for cherry pickers, etc.
Follow the 5 S Standards.
Qualifications:
Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others.
Ability to maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job.
Minimum education of High School diploma or equivalent experience.
Must have knowledge of Warehouse Attendant and warehouse practices
