Forward Deployed Engineer (AI / Healthcare)Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)Compensation: $150,000 – $190,000 base + variable + equityType: Full-timeAbout the RoleWe’re hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to sit at the intersection of AI, product, and real-world healthcare delivery.This is a high-impact, customer-facing engineering role where you’ll deploy AI-powered solutions into complex healthcare environments, build custom integrations, and directly influence product direction. You won’t just ship code—you’ll own outcomes.If you’re someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys working directly with customers, and is deeply hands-on with modern AI tools, this is the kind of role where you can accelerate quickly.What You’ll DoPartner directly with enterprise healthcare clients to deploy AI-driven solutions and ensure successful adoptionBuild and ship custom code (approx. 70% hands-on engineering) to support unique customer implementationsDesign and implement integrations, workflows, and AI agents (including voice or automation tools)Act as the technical bridge between customers and internal product/engineering teamsTranslate real-world usage into product feedback and help shape the roadmapSupport project coordination, timelines, and stakeholder communicationTravel occasionally (1–2 weeks per quarter) for on-site implementationsWhat We’re Looking For1–5 years of experience in a hands-on engineering or technical implementation roleStrong experience working with modern AI tools (LLMs, agents, automation platforms, etc.)Proven ability to build and deploy real-world AI-powered solutions (bonus for voice agents or similar systems)Experience in customer-facing technical roles (solutions engineering, forward deployed, implementation, etc.)Healthcare implementation experience strongly preferred (or other regulated industries like fintech/legaltech)Strong communication skills—you can translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersHigh ownership mindset; comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environmentsNice to HaveStartup or early-stage experience (founder or founding engineer mindset is a plus)Experience working across distributed or global teamsBackground deploying software into complex operational environmentsWhat Makes This Role DifferentDirect exposure to real-world AI deployment—not just internal toolingHigh autonomy and ownership from day oneTight feedback loop between customer usage and product developmentOpportunity to shape how AI is applied in healthcare at scaleAdditional DetailsHybrid role based in New York City (in-office presence expected most days)Interview ProcessIntro conversation with leadershipTechnical exercisePanel interviewFinal interview (in-person for NYC-based candidates)
