Job Description Salary: $225,000-$325,000/ yearKeish Environmental Is Hiring:The Deputy Planning and Engineering Director will work in the California High-Speed Rail Authoritys (Authority) ExecutiveOperations office. The Advisor will work under the general direction of the Program DeliveryServices (PDS) Executive Program Director. This position is responsible for providing supportand advice on strategy development, alternative analysis, implementation requirements andguidelines, and other related tasks and activities as may be sanctioned by the Authority.The position is to be based out of High Speed Rail's Sacramento offices, hybrid/remote located in California will be considered (No out of state), with travel required. Keish offers flexible work locations (including working from home), flexible work hours and a robust compensation and benefits package.Your Key ResponsibilitiesSupport program leadership in shaping long-term strategic initiatives that influence safety, performance, and operational efficiencyIdentify and advocate for the latest innovations in HSR, including advancements in technology, materials, and processes, to optimize system performanceSupport the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projectsProvide cohesive and informed support throughout the program life cycleAnalyze program results and operational data to recommend adjustments that further enhance safety and performanceMinimum QualificationsBachelors degree in engineering, planning, or a related field, with at least 12+ years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationA minimum of 4+ years of leadership experience, including managing teams or projects in planning, engineering, or auditingExtensive experience in overseeing engineering and planning operations, ensuringcompliance with established standardsProven ability to manage large-scale projects and collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teamsStrong understanding of environmental regulations, sustainability initiatives, andinfrastructure designExcellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategicguidance and drive project successExcellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectivelyacross departments and develop complex stakeholder relationshipsPreferred Qualifications/ Certifications/ LicensuresProfessional Engineer (PE) license or other relevant engineering certificationsProject Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar project management credentialProven experience in managing public sector planning and engineering projects or working with government agenciesExpertise in environmental compliance and sustainability practices in infrastructure developmentStrong knowledge of systems integration, network integration, and system certification processesFamiliarity with advanced project management software (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project) and engineering design toolsTypical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.This description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.Why Join Keish Environmental?At Keish Environmental, we pride ourselves on our collaborative, innovative, and forward-thinking approach to environmental compliance and sustainable infrastructure.
