Flexible schedule required every other Friday (6:00 AM2:00 PM or 10:00 AM6:00 PM). Required Skills & Experience Minimum 2+ years of experience in payroll processing (including garnishments, taxes, and year-end activities)Experience processing payroll for hourly and salaried employeesExperience calculating wages, overtime, bonuses, and payroll deductions including tax withholdings, garnishments, and benefits (401k)Experience maintaining employee payroll records and managing time and attendance recordsExperience reconciling payroll records and assisting with payroll auditsAbility to investigate and resolve employee payroll discrepancies and inquiriesAnalytical skills related to retro calculations of pay and timeAbility to work with multiple systems simultaneouslyIntermediate to advanced proficiency inMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll calculations and data entryAbility to maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee payroll dataKnowledge of payroll compliance including federal, state, and local payroll regulationsStrong communication skills to work with HR, finance, and employees Preferred Skills & Experience FPC or CPP certification preferredExperience using payroll and HR systems such asOracle Cloud, PeopleSoft, or ADPAssociate or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, or related fieldPrior experience in payroll, accounting, or human resources environments Education Required Education:High School Diploma or GED Preferred Education:Associate or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, or related field Job Summary The Payroll Assistant supports payroll operations by processing payroll transactions, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and organizational policies. This role assists with payroll calculations, payroll record management, reconciliation, and employee payroll inquiries while ensuring accurate payroll processing and data integrity. Job Responsibilities Process payroll for hourly and salaried employeesAssist in entering and paying wage garnishmentsProcess property payroll transfer reportsEnsure benefit deductions are accurateConduct audits to ensure payroll accuracy and maintain data integrityProvide support to leadership team for accounting-related projects Accurately calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and payroll deductionsMaintain employee payroll files and manage time-and-attendance records within payroll systemsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and reporting requirementsBalance payroll records, review payroll transactions, and assist with payroll auditsRespond to employee payroll questions and resolve payroll discrepancies
