Position: HR Compliance Specialist
Location: Hybrid (Remote & In-Office travel to Birmingham, AL)

The Successful Candidate
Experience as an HR Generalist and/or Labor and Employment Compliance experience
Has a commitment to Human Resources as a profession, focused on productive and positive relationships
Fosters an environment where associates produce quality products in a dynamic team environment, with a consistent focus on Altec Values
Has experience with and a sensitivity for understanding customer requirements
In addition to technical competence, this key player will have excellent communication skills
Is relationship-driven, with highly developed organization skills
Engages in high levels of diplomacy and maintains confidentiality
Education and Experience Required
Bachelor's Degree and (2) Years Applicable Experience
Or
Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced degree (counts as one year experience) and (1) Year Applicable Experience
Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.
Major Responsibilities (Examples of work performed)
Assists HR Compliance Manager with monitoring and ensuring compliance with HR regulatory changes from state and federal authorities
Assists and serves as backup to the HR Compliance Manager for AAP (OFCCP) and federal reporting (VETS 100A, EEO-1)
Assists HR Compliance Manager with research and drafting HR policies and procedures
Works with HR Compliance Manager and HR Partners to ensure consistency in the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures
Manages Altec Alert Line oversight, including investigating sensitive issues reported that cannot be conducted by local HR; creates and maintains files and file standards to document investigation results or complaints; may collaborate with Compliance Manager and corporate counsel on complex issues and provide management and HR Partners with progress reports
Communicates key trends in Altec Alert Line complaints, including recommendations for improvements in training for supervisors and associates
Handles local, state, and federal contract bid submissions pertaining to employment statistics
Assists HR Compliance Manager with completion and/or renewal of state compliance certifications
Performs other duties as assigned
