Housekeeping Laundry ManagerSalary: $68,840 - $72,200The Laundry Housekeeping Manager is primarily responsible for managing daily laundry operations of the hotel's laundry facility ensuring efficient and high-quality laundering of linens, towels, uniforms, and other hotel related textiles. Ensure an impeccable level of cleanliness and aesthetics throughout the hotel. Assist with hiring, lead in training and SOPs, and manage housekeeping staff for optimal performance in both quality and efficiency. Continually working toward advancing Sensei's vision to elevate and innovate in key areas while managing efficiencies and quality throughout all processes.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee the operation staff conducting washing & drying, including loading all laundry into washers with specified cleaning agents and drying as directed per each item's specific instructionManage the procedure to identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, and/or discardEnsure the staff is following the standard for pressing and folding clean articlesMaintain inventory of all linens, terry, and laundry cleaning suppliesMonitor guest laundry program ensuring requests are handled in a timely manner, delivering guest laundry and guest request items according to Sensei's pre-established standard proceduresConduct and manage the cleaning of Resort's rugs, carpets, walls, and upholstered furnitureMaintain all laundry equipment reporting any faulty equipment, supply needs, maintenance needs, safety hazards, and other concerns immediately to your supervisorCompleting assigned tasks as outlined by department head and in a timely mannerSupport department with daily inspection program for all guestrooms and public spaces. Regularly inspect rooms, public areas, and exterior for appropriate cleanliness levelManage Housekeeping and Laundry Operations and Supplies in a fiscally responsible manner; oversee and maintain sufficient inventories to ensure all employees have proper supplies and equipment and guests have access to all brand approved guest suppliesAssist to ensure proper setup of the daily Housekeeping boards and work assignmentsConduct a daily departmental "Torii Time" line up with the teamAssess daily guest room inventory, assign projects as needed, inspect and address all special requestsSupervise cleaning schedules during the day and overnight for all public areas, F&B areas, and BOH; inspect and coordinate overnight cleaning schedules and tasksEnsure all supplies and equipment are properly stored and designated inventories are maintained to established par levelsEnsure rooms are clean and available to guests in a timely and efficient manner, and VIP rooms or special requests are set-up and available appropriatelyLead, train, and supervise attendants assigned to guest rooms, turndown, laundry, and public areas, and housepersons in all areas to ensure staff is in full understanding of performance expectationsProvide team member coaching and counseling based on inspection results and actively assign property improvement tasks based on inspection resultsEnsure guest room status is effectively communicated to the ES Desk in a timely and efficient mannerEmpower staff to provide excellent customer service and exceed expectationsEmphasize guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focus on continuous improvement in service performanceRespond to and resolve any guest issues and complaints regarding housekeeping servicesEffectively communicate to staff and/or other departments any areas that need attention and follow up to ensure that deficiencies are addressed immediatelyCommunicate and coordinate with Engineering to ensure the efficient repair and maintenance of items related to guestrooms and public areasObserve all OSHA, local, and federal safety guidelines and maintain a healthy and safe environment for employees and guestsTake immediate action to resolve any issues or obstacles that could result in compromised safety or injury and actively participate in promoting company safety initiativesLead by example with the ability to mentor, inspire, and set clear expectations aligned with the Sensei Culture, brand standards of guest experience, and service guidelinesMaintain a strong unwavering commitment to ensure employees are well cared for in their daily work and that wellbeing activities and opportunities for growth are providedAny and all related duties as assigned by the Director of Rooms and the General ManagerLeadership Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote and exemplify Company values and represents departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customersCustomer Service Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely, and efficient mannerTeamwork - Develop and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-workersSafety Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the CompanyDue to the intimate nature of the resort with a limited number of guests on property, must assist teams laterally across all departments to lead a seamless guest flow throughout the different resort spacesOther duties as assignedQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
