Manufacturing Engineer

Fast Growing Manufacturer of Precision Machining based consumer products seeks 2-3 Manufacturing Engineers to work out of a brand new, state of the art facility. The company is investing multi-million dollars in capital equipment each year, primarily state of the art 5 axis machining equipment along with some automation moving parts from work cell to work cell. Ideal candidates will have a 4 year degree (not required though) along with 2 years of experience working within a manufacturing plant. Must have the soft skills to work with machinists on the shop floor and be able to balance multiple projects at one time. Manufacturing Engineers will be assigned certain process areas and will ultimately own the metrics/output for these process areas. Areas could include machining, heat treat, beveling, or molding . Compensation will be commensurate with experience.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesProcess Optimization: Develop and refine CNC machining processes to improve throughput, reduce variation, and ensure reliable, high-quality production.Fixture & Tooling Design: Support the design and improvement of fixtures and workholding solutions to enable repeatable setups and efficient machining.Manufacturing Documentation: Create and maintain detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings, setup instructions, and documentation to support production and quality.Production Support: Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support during machining, including first-article runs and new part introductions.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with programmers, machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to ensure seamless process integration.DFM Involvement: Participate in DFM reviews as needed to provide feedback on part geometry, tolerances, and manufacturing considerations.Continuous Improvement: Contribute to lean initiatives focused on process stability, scrap reduction, and productivity gains.Standards & Revision Control: Maintain organized design files, standards, and revision histories using PDM or ERP tools.Required Skills, Experience, and Education2+ years of experience working in a precision manufacturing environment as a Manufacturing or Process EngineerSelf motivated mindset and willing to "own" certain process areas.Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to support shop floor operations.Organized and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
