Quality Assurance Representative (Construction CM and QA) – DHS/ICE Federal Projects Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Quality Assurance Representative to support federal construction projects for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) / Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This position provides Construction Management (CM) and Quality Assurance (QA) support services for multidiscipline federal construction and renovation projects throughout the United States and U.S. territories. The ideal candidate will possess extensive construction QA/QC experience, strong knowledge of federal construction practices, and expertise in implementing the 3-phase quality control process. The position requires independent work, frequent travel, and the ability to support projects under accelerated schedules. Required Qualifications 1015 years of construction QA/QC experience Current OSHA Certification required Current CQM (Construction Quality Management) Certification required U.S. Citizen required Ability to pass DHS/ICE security background investigation Experience performing work directly related to construction projects Experience interpreting construction plans, specifications, and contract documents Experience inspecting materials, workmanship, and safety compliance Experience overseeing contractors, subcontractors, and construction personnel Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Spanish language skills are a plus Essential Duties and Responsibilities Quality Assurance and Construction Oversight Monitor contractor quality control activities to ensure compliance with project requirements Implement and oversee the 3phase quality control process Attend preparatory meetings, initialphase meetings, and followup inspections Verify contractor preparation of meeting minutes and daily CQC reports Ensure quality control procedures are properly documented and executed Inspection and Compliance Inspect construction work for compliance with contract documents, safety requirements, and applicable codes Monitor and document: o Material testing System testing oEnvironmental compliance Safety and health compliance Track deficiencies and corrective actions Ensure completion of asbuilt drawings and closeout documentation Project Coordination and Administration Review and process: o Submittals RFIs oDesign reviews Provide comments and recommendations to ICE OAFM personnel Maintain project files and QA documentation Attend weekly and monthly QA meetings Assist with scopes of work (SOW) and construction cost estimating Advisory Support Identify and report design and constructability issues Provide reports, analyses, recommendations, and technical guidance to Government personnel Support project coordination with onsite OAFM staff Project Types Projects may include: Maintenance facilities Office and administrative buildings Detention housing/dormitory facilities Training facilities Warehouse renovations Armory relocations/consolidations Restroom expansions Microgrid projects Electrical power system upgrades Fire detection/protection systems Specialty security and communications systems Projects may be delivered using: DesignBidBuild DesignBuild Work Locations Projects may take place at: San Juan, Puerto Rico St. Croix / St. Thomas (USVI) Fort Moore, Georgia Miami, Florida El Paso, Texas Port Isabel, Texas El Centro, California Other locations as assigned by the client Travel Requirements Extensive travel required Site assignments may last two weeks or longer Assignments may occur in multiple states and territories Must be willing to travel as directed by the client Work Environment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to work remotely when required Must be detailoriented, organized, and deadlinedriven Must perform effectively under accelerated project schedules Preferred Experience Federal construction project experience DHS/ICE or other federal agency project experience USACE or NAVFAC construction QA experience Experience with multidiscipline construction projects BENEFITS: Cube Root Corporation offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Shortterm and longterm disability coverage Life and ADD insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off Strong career growth opportunities Equal Opportunity Employer Cube Root Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE AA M/F/VET/DISABILITY).
