Apply now!Shipping & Receiving Clerk Responsibilities: - Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipmentsLoad and unload shipments from trucks and verify accuracyPackage finished products into containers, boxes, or crates, ensuring proper labeling, sealing, and stacking for storage or shipmentPerform quality checks and inspections on items produced; resolve packaging issues promptlyMaintain inventory accuracy by checking stock levels and updating recordsOrganize and prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines and ensure on-time delivery of inbound and outbound shipmentsMaintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all company packaging guidelinesSafely operate company vehicles to transport materials, products, and personnel between locationsConduct deliveries and pickups of materials, products, or supplies to and from customers, suppliers, or designated locationsPlan and optimize driving routes for efficiency and timely deliveriesPerform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks; report any issues promptlyMaintain accurate records of driving activities, including mileage logs, delivery receipts, and inspection reportsFollow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation activitiesAssist with loading, unloading, and moving materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling equipmentWork closely with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and maintain safety and quality standardsCommunicate effectively to coordinate schedules, resolve issues, and ensure smooth operations between manufacturing and transportationRequirements For Shipping & Receiving Clerk: - Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects, as well as standing, bending, and stooping for extended periodsCommitment to following safety protocols and guidelines while performing driving and laborer duties, including proper use of (PPE) and adherence to safety procedures to prevent accidents or injuriesKeen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in performing tasks such as material handling, assembly line work, packaging, and delivery/pickup activitiesStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to prioritize tasks, plan routes, and meet delivery schedules while maintaining efficiency and productivityEffective verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and suppliers, providing updates, following instructions, and addressing inquiries or concernsDemonstrated problem-solving skills to identify and address challenges or obstacles encountered while driving or performing general laborer duties, including the ability to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions independentlyAbility to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and work environments, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to take on different tasks or responsibilities as needed to support manufacturing and transportation operationsReliable attendance and punctuality are essential, with a strong work ethic and commitment to fulfilling job responsibilities consistently and efficientlyAbility to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments to achieve common goals, resolve problems, and ensure smooth operations within the manufacturing companyMust be able to operate a 26' box truck and 20' flatbed truck (Non-CDL) as well as a pick up truckMinimum 3+ years in manufacturing shipping & receiving and driving experienceProficient in ERP systems; experience with Global Shop preferredProficiency in operating company vehicles safely and responsibly, with knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safe driving practicesExperienced in safe forklift operation, including loading, unloading, and transporting materials in compliance with safety standardsEmployees are expected to adhere to all safety protocols, including the use protective gear when requiredPerforming physical activities that require considerable use of your arms, hands, fingers, legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, handling of materials, and operating machineryPerform repetitive motions using your hands and fingers such as, but not limited to, grasping, gripping, and holdingCarrying & lifting 10 50lbs. frequentlyRacine@qpsemployment.com IND012QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
