The Environmental Compliance Monitor observesconstruction activities to ensure compliance with environmentalregulations, permit requirements, and project-specific environmentalplans. Responsibilities include conducting site inspections,construction monitoring, documenting compliance status, providingguidance to construction crews, and reporting findings to projectmanagement. The position requires knowledge of environmentalregulations, strong communication skills, and the ability to work infield conditions for extended periods. This position will be on-call(1-2 days per week) supporting projects local to the Yuma, Arizonaregion.What will I be doing? Conduct monitoring of construction activities to ensure compliancewith environmental regulations and permit conditions. Monitor implementation of erosion and sediment control measures,spill prevention protocols, and other environmental protectionpractices. Document inspection findings, including photographs and writtenreports, and communicate results to project management. Advise construction crews on corrective actions to addressenvironmental compliance issues. Coordinate with project management and contractors regardingcompliance matters. Maintain accurate inspection logs, reports, and relateddocumentation. Report any environmental incidents or non-compliance to the ProjectManager immediately. Support environmental training for construction crews as needed. Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materialson site. Assist in preparing final environmental compliance reports forproject closeout. Participate in or complete biological field surveys as needed.Job Specific Details This role includes per diem due to the remote nature of theworksite(s) Thie role will utilize a company provided work vehicle This role may endure periods of furlough as work sites wind down andothers need time to ramp upWhat qualifications are required for this role? Associates degree with a focus on Environmental Science, NaturalResources, or related field. High school diploma or equivalent withrelevant work experience may substitute educational component Zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in environmental monitoringor related work preferred Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations Experience in environmental monitoring, compliance monitoring, orrelated field preferred Observational and documentation skills Ability to communicate effectively with construction personnel,project managers, and regulators Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for preparing reports anddocumentation Organizational and time management skillsThe wage range for this position is \$22.00 - \$26.00/hour.What does WestLand offer you?
