A career with Kerry offers you an opportunity to shape the future of food while providing you opportunities to explore and grow in a truly global environment.About the roleSeeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to be located on site at our Harrisonburg, VA site.Key responsibilitiesResponsible for Process Optimisation (OEE Improvement, Yield Improvement, NPI)Support Operator capability building, through process cross functional SOP creation, training and knowledge sharing.Utilise process SME knowledge to own and support 1-KPS Problem Solving of critical site concerns.Support plant maintenance manager with special tasks and actionsThis position develops cooperative working relationships with cross-functional teams within the manufacturing plantsCreates Project Plans and harnesses resources to ensure project milestones are met within expectations of timeline, quality and budgetOptimizes the operation of manufacturing processes by finding the optimum Production and machine settings with an underlying goal of quality and costParticipates in the analysis of quality problems in research and applicable solutions, handles relations with the maintenance and production departments for optimization purposes and ensure follow-up to solutionsWorks with the R&D teams for new product requests coming from customersOrganizes and tracks upscale production trials and defines the parameters of production for new products in collaboration with the R&D team and the site team (safety, quality, production, supply chain and maintenance)Determines material and equipment to be used for the specific projects at handStudies product design, customer requirements, and determines performance standardsAbility to troubleshoot product manufacturing issues that are experienced on the production line and offer short and long term solutions with maintenance and production teamSupports manufacturing issues, and troubleshooting as assignedQualifications and skillsBachelor's Degree (B.S) in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or Food Processing)Lean Six Sigma qualification preferred5 plus years of progressive experience work in plant maintenance, manufacturing engineering or process engineering.1 - 2 years prior food manufacturing or alternative heavily regulated environment (e.g. Pharma manufacturing, automotive etc.).Preferred experience with Food manufacturing unit operations Solid-Liq Extraction, Evaporation, Centrifuge Separation, PasteurizationExperience in managing and executing capital projects $50k - $500kSelf-motivated, hands-on individual with keen interest in quickly learning and applying new skills who can follow written/verbal instructions and meet deadlines with minimal supervisionThe typical hiring range for this role is $75,602 to $123,400 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).Kerry is an equal opportunity employer.
