This executive will be responsible for leading the transition from a fully outsourced legal function to a robust internal team, ensuring that the legal strategy aligns with the mission of delivering exceptional, community-focused care. The CLO will serve as the senior legal advisor to the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, and Board of Trustees, providing expert counsel on a wide range of legal, regulatory, compliance, and governance matters. A key aspect of the role is to safeguard the organization and advance its strategic goals, which involves close collaboration with compliance, risk, privacy, and government affairs. The ideal candidate for this position at the company will be a highly strategic and proactive attorney with a strong background in the business dynamics and regulatory environment of the healthcare industry. They should be innovative, entrepreneurial, and adept at creating solutions that support the organization's growth and success. A law degree from an ABA-accredited law school, active membership in the Massachusetts Bar Association, and a minimum of ten years of experience in healthcare legal matters are required. The CLO will also be expected to have a proven track record in healthcare regulatory issues, contracting, physician alignment, litigation, and transactions.
