Description:Baker Manufacturing CompanyPurchasing AdministratorLocation: Evansville, WIDepartment: Supply Chain / OperationsReports To: Supply Chain DirectorCompensation & Schedule$24.00$25.00 per hourFull-Time, 40 hours per weekMonday FridayFlexible schedule: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM 4:30 PMPosition SummaryThe Purchasing Administrator supports daily purchasing and supply chain activities to help ensure material availability, accurate system data, and timely supplier communication. This role assists buyers and operations teams with purchase order management, vendor follow-up, reporting, and administrative coordination to support manufacturing operations.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain purchase orders in the ERP systemFollow up with suppliers on order confirmations, pricing, and delivery datesTrack open purchase orders and communicate shortages or delays to internal teamsAssist with expediting materials and supplier issuesCoordinate with production, planning, customer service, and accounting teamsMaintain purchasing records, files, and documentationSupport reporting and administrative functions within the supply chain departmentPerform other administrative and supply chain support duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma required; associate degree or related business experience preferred13 years of administrative, purchasing, customer service, or manufacturing support experience preferredStrong organizational, communication, and follow-through skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP systemsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilitiesPreferred ExperienceExperience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentERP experience such as Epicor or similar systemsBasic understanding of purchasing, inventory, or supply chain processesWork EnvironmentOffice-based role within a manufacturing environmentRegular interaction with suppliers, production, warehouse, and operations personnel Requirements: QualificationsHigh school diploma required; associate degree or related business experience preferred13 years of administrative, purchasing, customer service, or manufacturing support experience preferredStrong organizational, communication, and follow-through skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP systemsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilitiesPIe2c02005dba2-26289-40654282
