Transportation Engineer III

Location: Lincoln, Ne Industry: Civil Engineering / Transportation Infrastructure Our client, a growing engineering and infrastructure firm, is seeking a Transportation Engineer III to support roadway and highway design projects. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working across the full project lifecycle while also taking on increasing responsibility in project execution, client interaction, and mentoring junior staff.Responsibilities: Lead and support roadway and transportation design projects from concept through constructionPrepare engineering plans, reports, specifications, and cost estimatesPerform data analysis, field reviews, and technical evaluationsCoordinate with internal teams, clients, and external agenciesParticipate in public meetings, stakeholder engagement, and presentationsSupport proposal development and grant applicationsConduct QA/QC reviews to ensure technical accuracy and complianceMentor junior engineers and assist in task delegationMonitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverablesLead in the preparation of grant applications and associated services related to funding programs.
