And of course, we are always looking for talented people to help us have a positive impact on our industry and beyond!About the RoleThe Machine Operator, Level 1 position is responsible for operating finish refiners or Conches. He/She is responsible for helping ensure all products produced at this site meet all local and federal regulations and are safe and wholesome. In addition, meet all requirements mandated by FSSC 22000. Key responsibilities include:Observe all safety, sanitation, GMP, and HACCP requirementsResponsible for requesting and transferring raw materials from the storage silo to the daily binEnter recipe data according to the production scheduleAdjust pre-refiner/refiner and conche temperatures according to recipe and customer specificationsAdd fat, flavors, and emulsifiers to conche or tanks according to recipesPump product from conches to finished tanks according to production scheduleResponsible for basic and preventative maintenance, reporting improvements needed to the Lead/SupervisorVerify viscosity of finished product and adjust as neededVerify fineness of flake/paste and adjust as neededSample finished productResponsible for the cleanliness of all areas in the department, as well as following all GMP's and Safety and food safety regulationsVerify quality checks with magnet, sieve, date code verification, and case check weight verificationRun equipment: Milk System and Refiners or Milk System and ConchesClean machines, floors, and make sure the machine is organizedTrain with Level 2 Operators on machine setupAbout YouHigh school diploma or GED. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Math, problem-solving, and decision-making skills required. Proficient in using a computer (MS Office). One (1) year of manufacturing experience, a plus. Fork Lift and/or Handcart certification, a plus. Ability to stand on a concrete floor for long periods of time. Must be able to lift a minimum of 60lbs, often.
