Automation Engineering Manager

For our client, we are seeking an Automation Engineering Manager to join the team of a leader in the Media space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Media environment.Location: San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $211,700 – $302,400 annuallyResponsibilities Define the company’s multi-platform automation strategy covering various device ecosystems Establish testing standards and quality policies in the CI/CD pipeline Design specialized testing strategies for critical scenarios like video playback and ad insertion Lead the design and maintenance of cross-platform automation frameworks Drive the team's AI capability growth by identifying and prototyping AI applications Manage and mentor a team of automation engineers, focusing on career development Produce data-driven quality reports for leadership on automation and quality metricsQualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field 10+ years in software testing and quality engineering, with 3+ years in leadership roles Experience in building AI-driven automation systems and workflows Hands-on expertise with cross-platform automation frameworks like Puppeteer and Selenium Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java, with cross-stack code reading ability Solid understanding of CI/CD systems such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaborationBenefits Flexible Time Off policy for exempt employees to manage personal matters Generous 12 weeks paid parental leave for new parents within the first year Monthly wellness reimbursement for all full-time employees Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their families 401(k) plan and participation in annual discretionary bonusesOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
