Confidential Employer.Job DescriptionHandle complex commercial litigation matters involving breach of contract, corporate governance, intellectual property disputes, mergers and acquisitions, securities, and antitrust mattersRepresent clients in depositions, court hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedingsServe as lead counsel in smaller arbitrations and trials and as second chair or co-lead in larger mattersConduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy, client counseling, and litigation objectivesDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation-related filings with a high level of precision and qualityAdvise corporate clients on litigation risk, dispute resolution, compliance, and strategic legal decisionsParticipate in settlement negotiations and work toward favorable outcomes where appropriateCollaborate with attorneys, staff, clients, experts, and consultants to develop and execute litigation strategyOversee case management from discovery and pre-trial motions through trial and post-trial proceedingsMaintain accurate billing records, track billable time, and support timely client invoicingHelp lead matters effectively and contribute to a strong litigation team environmentQualificationsJD from an accredited law schoolActive Texas Bar membership in good standing5+ years of commercial litigation experienceStrong legal writing skillsSignificant experience taking depositionsTrial experience, including experience with evidentiary and legal arguments and direct- and cross-examinationStrong in-court advocacy at hearingsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage complex legal issues with professionalism and precisionHigh level of attention to detail and strong organizational skillsProficiency with legal research tools and litigation softwareAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience with trial preparation and managing high-stakes litigationAbility to lead and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff preferredWhy You Will Love Working HereThis is an excellent opportunity for a strong commercial litigator who wants sophisticated work, meaningful responsibility, and the chance to make an impact on complex disputes.
