1st Shift Processing Operator-1

Location: Albert Lea, MN Wage: $20.50 Schedule: Monday–Fridays; Start time is 6:00 AM year-round, with a varying end time. Occasionally changes to work schedule may occur due to production or training needs. SUMMARY Processing Operator 1 will be responsible for the cooking process of potatoes and processing of cabbage as per standard operating procedures to ensure quality and safety standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Learn and follow all MGK HACCP, SQF, SOP, and SSOP programs. Comply with all Food Safety procedures at all times. Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Set up, sanitize, wash down, and break down machinery per standard operating procedures. Accurately and safely follow procedures to set-up, peel, sort, inspect, and cook potatoes. Accurately and safely follow procedures to set-up, inspect, and process cabbage. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), 1-3 months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Ability to read and comprehend documentation in English including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Utilize calculators to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to obtain forklift and/or pallet jack license. Ability to lift and/or carry frequently up to 50 pounds.
