Inside Technical Support Specialist

Fox Valley Elevator is a Wisconsin-based manufacturer of premium residential elevators and dumbwaiters. Behm Consulting, LLC is partnering with Fox Valley Elevator to find a hands-on technical professional who enjoys solving problems, supporting customers, and working with mechanical and electrical systems. What You’ll Do In this role, you will provide technical support for residential elevator systems and help customers and field technicians resolve equipment and installation issues. * Troubleshoot elevator systems remotely by phone and email * Provide technical guidance to field and installation technicians * Use wiring diagrams, schematics, manuals, and other technical documentation to diagnose issues * Support residential elevator installations and help ensure applicable code requirements are met * Prepare parts quotes and coordinate with vendors as needed * Assist with modernization and upgrade projects involving existing elevator systems * Help train installation and field technicians * Document technical issues and resolutions * Track service activity and key performance metrics * Build strong relationships with customers and provide clear, professional technical support What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities and enjoys helping others solve technical problems. * Strong mechanical or technical aptitude * Experience in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, industrial equipment, elevators, or a similar field * Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Comfortable using computers, CRM systems, and service or ticketing software * Customer-focused approach with the ability to explain technical information clearly *A college degree is not required. Relevant hands-on experience and technical ability are highly valued.* Preferred Qualifications The following experience is helpful but not required: * Elevator industry experience * Experience supporting or training field technicians * Knowledge of residential elevator codes * Experience with equipment modernization or legacy systems * PLC knowledge or troubleshooting experience * Familiarity with Mitsubishi or Siemens products * Technical certifications such as CET, PMP, or similar credentials Work Environment This is primarily an office-based technical support position.
