Security Supervisor

Heru Security is looking for an OPOTA certified Night Shift Supervisor to oversee night shift security operations in the Columbus area. This a 5 night a week position. Nights off are Tuesday and Wednesday nights, Hours are 10pm-6am. All Security personnel will be under your command while you perform site checks, reinforce procedures to maintain security standards at all job sites. This individual will perform daily visits to posts, supervising, recruiting, training of security personal, and filling posts when needed. Locations vary from in store security, retail, gas stations, and parking lot patrols. We have both armed and unarmed details. You must be able to pass a background check to obtain your security guard card, have a current OPOTA certification, vest, weapon, and other needed gear. You must have your own reliable transportation. As security manager, you will have to demonstrate excellent surveillance and emergency response skills. You will need a strong commitment to security rules and knowledge of all hazards and threats to safety. Since you will have a number of people under your responsibility, you must also exhibit leadership skills. Responsibilities Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses Recruit, train and supervise security officers and guards Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms Review reports on incidents and breaches Investigate and resolve issues Create reports for management on security status Requirements and skills Proven experience as security manager or similar position Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV) Experience in reporting and emergency response planning Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Outstanding organizational and leadership skills Committed and reliable Education in security administration or similar field will be an asset Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour Benefits: Flexible schedule Schedule: 8 hour shift Experience: Customer service: 4 years (Required) Work Location: On the road
