*This is with a Public Accounting Firm and requires Public Accounting experience as well as an active CPA license* Job Title: Audit ManagerJob Location: HybridJob Salary: $115k-$145k (DOE)Requirements: 5+ Years of Public Accounting Audit ExperiencePosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Audit Manager with a strong background in audit and public accounting, and an emphasis on not-for-profit (NFP) organizations. The Audit Manager will lead audit engagements from planning through issuance, ensure technical quality and compliance with professional standards, mentor staff, and develop strong client relationships. This role is responsible for overseeing multiple engagements, handling NFP-specific reporting (including Form 990 and Single Audit requirements), and contributing to practice growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage full-scope audit engagements for not-for-profit clients, including planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, and reporting.Supervise, mentor, and review the work of audit seniors and staff; provide coaching and development to build a strong audit team.Ensure audits comply with AICPA professional standards, GAAP, GAGAS (as applicable), and OMB Uniform Guidance for Single Audits.Perform technical review of workpapers, financial statements, and management letters; ensure accuracy and timely delivery of client deliverables.Prepare and review Form 990s, other regulatory filings, and related schedules for NFP clients; coordinate with tax and advisory teams as needed.Identify and communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients; draft clear management letters and present results to client leadership.Manage engagement budgets, timelines, resource allocation, and client billing to meet profitability targets.Stay current on accounting and auditing standards, NFP accounting guidance, and industry trends; lead training sessions for the engagement team.Support business development initiatives, participate in client proposals, and help expand the firms NFP practice.Coordinate Single Audit engagements, including testing of federal award programs and completion of required reporting and compliance documentation.QualificationsCPA license required.Minimum 5+ years of public accounting experience with progressive audit responsibilities; demonstrated experience performing audits.Strong technical audit skills with working knowledge of GAAP, audit methodology, and professional standards.Experience auditing not-for-profit organizations, including familiarity with Form 990 preparation and reporting.Experience with Single Audit engagements and OMB Uniform Guidance preferred.Proven leadership skills with experience supervising and developing staff.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present audit findings to client leadership.Strong project management, organizational, and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Office; experience with CaseWare, CCH, or similar tools a plus.Nice-to-have: experience and expertise in NFP, Non-profit, Not For Profit accounting and assurance services; familiarity with 990 and Single Audit processes.BenefitsVacation/PTO Medical Dental Vision 401k Bonus Relocation Telecommute Email Your Resume In Word ToKenny.Strobel@CyberCoders.comLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
