This role focuses on hardware design, power systems, PCB development, EMC compliance, and system-level electrical engineering activities.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in analog/digital circuit design, FPGA development, and electronic hardware design within regulated or high-reliability environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign electrical and electronic hardware systems for advanced instrumentation productsSupport development of:Power systemsPCBA designsCable/harness assembliesEMC-compliant electrical systemsDevelop schematics, specifications, BOMs, and engineering documentationSupport FPGA and VHDL design activitiesPerform digital and analog circuit designSupport schematic capture and PCB design activitiesDesign and support instrument power systems (AC/DC)Support EMC/EMI compliance and grounding strategiesEvaluate design feasibility and recommend optimal system architecturesCollaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issuesDevelop and evaluate breadboards, prototypes, and validation testing activitiesSupport transition from development into productionTroubleshoot manufacturing and customer application issuesSupport DFM/DFT initiatives and continuous improvement activitiesProvide technical leadership and mentorship when requiredQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Required)5+ years of professional electrical engineering experienceExperience with FPGA and VHDL designStrong experience with analog and digital circuit designExperience with schematic capture and PCB designExperience designing AC/DC power systemsExperience supporting EMC/EMI complianceExperience designing cable assemblies and grounding systemsStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsStrong technical communication and documentation skillsExperience collaborating in multidisciplinary engineering environmentsPreferred QualificationsExperience working in:Medical DeviceDefenseAutomation industriesExperience with electromechanical systemsExperience supporting stepper and servo motor systemsExperience supporting product development through manufacturing transitionExperience supporting high-reliability electronic systemsCompensationEstimated hourly range: $85–$90/hr (W-2)Flexibility available for highly qualified candidatesFinal rate will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.Work Schedule: 100% OnsiteContract Duration: Through End of Year
