2nd Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday 1:30PM – 11:00PMPaid On-The-Job Training Schedule: 8-12 weeks on 1st shift (5:00am – 1:30pm)Compensation Range *dependent on experience*: $25/h - $50/h + 2nd shift differential + quarterly incentive bonus + overtime opportunitiesPosition SummaryThe Welder (Aerospace Production TIG Welder) performs precision TIG welding with minimal supervision and may provide technical guidance to lower-level welders as needed. This role involves welding assemblies of basic to advanced complexity using aerospace materials, including stainless steel and aluminum. The welder is proficient in TIG welding operations such as T joints, butt joints, and corner welds and demonstrates the ability to read and interpret blueprints to weld and fabricate advanced complexity components across various material types, thicknesses, and positions.Welders will be required to weld material thicknesses ranging from .040+. AWS D17.1 weld specifications is preferred. This role is best suited for candidates with recent professional experience performing precision TIG welding in an aerospace manufacturing environment and requires consistent adherence to aerospace quality standards, documentation, and acceptance criteria.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform TIG welding on production assemblies of advanced complexity with minimal supervisionExecute basic to advanced TIG welding operations including T joints, butt joints, and corner weldsWeld stainless steel and/or aluminum materials in accordance with internal and aerospace specificationsRead and interpret blueprints, travelers, and work instructions to produce conforming partsMaintain consistent weld quality while meeting production and quality requirementsExperience troubleshooting and working with fixturing.Required SkillsProficiency in aerospace TIG welding in accordance with customer specifications, familiarity with AWS D17.1 standards is a plusAbility to TIG weld stainless steel and/or aluminum across qualified thickness ranges and positionsAbility to accurately assess weld quality, including recognition of oxidation coloration*Ability to pass internal AWS D17.1 weld testingAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionRequired Experience1- 5+ years of professional TIG welding experience in a production, manufacturing, or aerospace manufacturing environmentRecent TIG welding experience preferred.
